Charlie is 2 months old!!!

Cannot believe how fast these 2 months have flown by!
At 2 months, Little Dude is:
23 inches tall (50%)
Only 10.10, and the doctor would like to see his weight gain improve
He was going up to 7 hours between feedings at night (only if he was sleeping on my bed), but now I have to wake him every 4 hours to each
Luckily if I put him in his bassinet he's up every 2 :)
Holds his head up really high when on tummy time
Rolled over the DAY after he turned 2 months!
Smiles and coos and talks to anyone who looks at him
Loves to be worn and carried
Mostly naps on mama in the woven wrap
Occasionally naps in the swing
Wears cloth diaper 90% of the time
Still in 0 - 3 months clothes, but out of newborn!
Is finally waking up- and when he's up, he's super alert!
Loves his big sisters, even though they can (sometimes) be a little rough with him...
Dealing with an annoying case of thrush right now
Always has big smiles for mommy
Is the sweetest little boy in the world, and so loved by his mommy, daddy & big sisters!

Bates Nut Farm

We love our annual trip to Bates Nut Farm! (see our past visits here, here, here and our very first time, here It was kinda crazy the amount of things we had to bring now that we're a family of 5, but we did it and got there shortly after it opened.
It was a perfect day, not too hot or overly crowded.

This year Izzy actually rode the ponies with big sister Jess!

Then we picked out pumpkins- Jess was really into the white ones this year

Next year we will remember our wagon, pack a lunch, and try to get there before it opens! It was so fun though, and our first fun family outing!

Charlie is One Month Old!

 

At one month, Charlie:
Is 22 inches long and about 10 pounds
Eats ALL. THE. TIME.
Sleeps all the time, but doesn't do long strethes. 4 hours one time, but usually 2 - 3 hours max
Loves his binkie
Has super duper blond hair
Blue eyes
And a cute smile he is just starting to show us
Took a bottle for the first time yesterday and mommy got to go to the gym!
Wants to be held all the time- we all love the ergo carrier
Big sisters are basically his other mommies, they love helping out!
Has been in cloth diapers during the day since week 3
isn't much of a napper
and not an impressive pooper
but pretty easy going as long as he's being held
So, so loved by his mommy, daddy & big sisters!

Izzy wanted the bear in the picture, too- love Charlie's expression!

Charlie at One Week Old

 

It's A Boy!!!!!

Charles Steven Post was born on Friday, September 7th at 11:10 am at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, CA. Charlie arrived after 9 hours of labor (though mom could argue it was weeks of labor...) measuring 8 pounds 9 ounces at 19.5 inches long.  He was born just an hour after getting to the hospital in a perfect, beautiful and fast natural delivery.

Both mom and baby are doing great, and big sisters Jessica & Izzy are in love.  Daddy's glad that he now has a little mini me around to help support the boys team.
