The Big 3-0

The Big Dirty Thirty
30
Thats Crazy
But I'm not freaking out about it
I think its because I'm where I wanted to be at 30
I have an amazing husband
2 beautiful daughters
I have a successful business
I pride myself in my preschool teaching skills
I'm in pretty darn good shape.
I ran a MARATHON for goodness sakes
I would say I'm a runner, but right now I'm an injured runner who is unable to run :(
I am slowly finding the balance of life and creativity and becoming a scrapbooker again
I am a amautuer photographer
I have some the best girlfriends any girl could ever ask for, from all stages in my life
I love to cook, bake (all gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, redmeat free, etc, of course)
I love my wine
And dark chocolate (they make it with other sugars so I can have it :0 )
A bit of a hippy at heart
And, crazy enough, I am now a morning person.  Up everyday between 4:30 and 5am!
(except on Sunday, some days I sleep in all the way till 8:30.  Seriously, who AM I?)
I am happy
Happy 30th to ME!
(Not the best picture of me, but recent and decent enough)

WIsh List

I have been asked for a "Christmas List" from more than a few people.
Thought it would be fun to share online, too

Photography:
Fun camera strap, like this one
Cool camera bag that looks like a purse, like any from here
Canon 5D Mark II (a girl can wish, right?)
or
Canon 7D (is what I'm currently saving for)
or, just discovered this, thinking it could be a good deal!

Running
I need a better head lamp for running when its still dark out (yes, thats how early I get up to run at)
A sports bra (but I guess thats not a very fun gift, is it?)
I need a new belt.  I wish I could get a bunch of different kinds to play around with and see what really works, but that also seems kinda wasteful.  I wonder what the return policy is???
Anyways, anything running related, really. Its all fun to me :)

Scrapbooking
A gift card to shop at Designer Digital. Trying to teach myself how to scrapbook digitally!
Another "Project Life" for my PoTD

Clothes
True Religon Julies in lone star

Gift card to Nordstroms (I LOVE the rack!)

Perfume: Deciding between my favorite, worn for the past 10 years, Marc Jacobs or going with a new perfume (by the same maker) Daisy I'm just about out of my bottle of Marc Jacobs, and I LOVE it. I also love the idea of having a "smell" that will make my daughters think of me when they smell it, know that its a special night if I'm wearing it. But maybe I should try something different? Thoughts?

Bath time (for mommy! one of my favorite times....)
Love anything from Lush, but especially bath bombs or bath melts

I need a new water bottle!!!

Thats it, for now.  The list could go on and on, and it also made me realize
how much I don't buy anything for myself anymore!

A new decade

So, I'm assuming its because I have my hands full with the two girls, school, and work, but I didn't make the connecting that it was a WHOLE. NEW. DECADE until, um, January 2nd or so. Oops. Don't know how I missed everyone and their mother discussing this, guess I was just in my little world......
Once I figured that out, I looked back at the past decade. And WOW did a lot happen
Went to college
Left home for the first (to go to college)
Met some of my bestest friends ever
Traveled to Europe, Asia, and Canada.
As well as all over the country
Went on my first cross country roadtrip with out my parents
Choose my profession
Opened my own business! (in home daycare/preschool)
Met and married my fabulous sexy hubby
Gave birth naturally (no drugs! crazy, I know) to two beautiful girls
Lived in 2 of the most beautiful places in the country (in my opinion anyway) (Santa Barbara and San Diego)
Ran my first race
Had so many crazy experiences.

I know that I will never have a decade quite like that again. It was my first decade as an adult, but it was a young adult- learning so much about myself, life, people, the world around me.

Though I doubt I will do as much in the next ten years, I know it will be full of exciting new things- including watching my daughters grow and possibly extending my family more. Can't wait to see :)
